Here's another weird one I can't find info on. I've seen similar speed controls that mounted "servo style" but google and other searches turn up nothing on this.
Anyone have info or paperwork on this? Or know when it was produced?
It's in almost perfect condition. Still has the protective film on the face plate too. I'd like to put it in one of my cars that fit the period this was made, if I can figure out when that was!
*edit- I've found a little info on a similar model NEA-950 that has "Inverter" on the face plate instead of "Speed Controller". Not sure what the difference is. I guess just another version in the model evolution.

Re: JR NEA-900 esc -servo style mount
JR made OEM ESC for Graupner, looking very similar http://classicrc.wordpress.com/esc-electronic-speed-control/graupner/car-profi-25/
The Graupner version was introduced around 1989 to 1990, so I think your JR should be similar age.
I think Inverter could be a version with forward and brake function reversed.

Cool. Thanks for the info! At least I can get the time period dialed in now. I want to find a similar JR servo and stick them in one of my cars.
Slightly OT, but does anyone know why this has a white plug instead of black? Did JR switch at some point? Might help me track down a period correct JR servo.

I used one of these back in my race days. I have been looking for another good example like this for a while. Nice find.

That's in great shape! I was sure I had one of those too, so went digging... but mine is one of the NEA-950 'Inverter' models... and some goose has chopped off both 'ears'. Grumble grumble grumble....
