2.2 wheels on a gold tub

Post by MelvinsArmy »

I know this has been covered dozens of times before, but when I type it into the search I just get a bunch of stuff I'm not looking for.

What is required to put 2.2's on the back of a gold tub? I have B2 wheels already. Do I just need to find some B2 or B3 rear stub axles and different sized bearings?

I think you should be able to use a 3/16 axle? and the correct bearings and you should be golden!

10T rears fit directly and just need the bearing that fits in the front one for 10t bolt right on.DON

well, if your using the stock rc10 hub carriers, you'll need to get 4 3/16"x3/8" flanged bearings. if your using 10t hubs, get the same size bearings, but plain.

i believe any of the associated 3/16" stub axles should work, although i've never tried them personally. i would just get a set of b2 mip cvd's. much more efficient.

This is from teamassociated.com's Early RC10 Tech Help Page:

How can I use the 2.2" buggy tires and rims?

In order to use the current wheels and tires you will need the following:
7378 3/16 axles
#9277 bearings (3/16 x 3/8 flanged bearings)
#7369 axle pins #7368 axle shims
