Should I buy one of these?
So my LHS has a sale shelf that's been growing, and recently there have been some SCT 6.4s and T6.4 Team Kits for $300 each. I hadn't been in the market for one of these, but if these are deals too good to pass on I'll grab one of them, but I'm not 100% sure. Any thoughts?

Re: Should I buy one of these?
If that's a platform that you'd want to drive it's about 90$ off the amain price. If you were going to buy it anyway, then go for it. If you are only look because of price you might as well wait for something that you really want. $300 isn't exactly cheap, however there are not a lot of options right now for highend 2wd stadium trucks.fotomatt1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 6:56 pm So my LHS has a sale shelf that's been growing, and recently there have been some SCT 6.4s and T6.4 Team Kits for $300 each. I like the platform and I love building kits so I personally would get one of each for me. I think the price point is reasonable.
This is my SC6.4.

Nice truck! I like building kits too....I tend to stay away from RTRs unless they're for my kids. I've been on the fence about a Tekno SCT410 2.0 for a while, so I'll probably wind up holding out for one of those just because it's a bit more durable and 4wd, but it did catch my eye in the store.Brendan2904 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 3:12 pmI like the platform and I love building kits so I personally would get one of each for me. The Tekno is a nice machine. From what I hear it’s pretty much bulletproof too which is awesome. I have not built one yet but one day lol.fotomatt1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 4:24 pmNice truck! Re: Should I buy one of these?
I already have electronics suitable for the Tekno, but not a T / SCT 6.4, so at the end of the day, better I think there's more in the Tekno for me, but I was definitely curious about those at the discounted price.Brendan2904 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 4:59 pmThe Tekno is a nice machine. Re: Should I buy one of these?
The Tekno kits are solid pieces of equipment. I raced the ET410.2 and EB410.2. Time does not allow me to race anymore, and so I sold both buggies, but I would return to Tekno again.
