Has anyone else noticed this? What sticker kit do I have? Did GT2’s come as factory team kits that I’m unaware of?
I’m not sure I understand your question correctly? They did sell a factory team truck and a RTR model. Or is it just your sticker set doesn’t match any you have or seen? It looks like it’s basically the same as the one I have.
GT2's came as an RTR (kit # 7092) and a Factory Team (kit # 7080). Your #7999 decal sheet would have come in the box with the FT kit whereas (obviously) the RTR decals were pre-applied.
Sign Shops and Print Shops as you found aren't equipped to print on clear vinyl. You can search online for "clear decal printing", as some of the shops are only about an hour from you. But the problem you're going to run into is if (when) they ask for a copyright release. Could also try talking to Nathanial at MCI, being in Canada he doesn't have that problem.
I’m gonna let go 1 or 2 of my GT2’s and one of them is a bit “special.”
One has a display clear plexi top and a black body with black chassis, blue exhaust. The other the body was cut on the windshield badly and I wanted to include a new sticker - seeing as the piece that was cut out is still in the box. It could easily be covered up or repaired for a shelf/display car.
I would just cut out the side window and clean up that front hole with a dremel and call it good. It’s better for nitros to have more breathing anyway so I wouldn’t even worry about closing up the hole.

Do you think it’s more likely this would be a shelf car for someone or do you think they would use it?
I don’t think there are many “collectors” of GT2s. Let alone rtr version models. I would think there’s a much larger market that plans on using the truck than shelf it. I’m almost embarrassed having that body sitting on a used chassis on my display shelf.
