Wheel Discs
Are these just wheel caps like the Losi cars had?
I really like the look on this truck, Id like to put some on my T2
Anyone have any info? If they are caps which ones fit the stock T2 rims?
Thanks!

Re: Wheel Discs
AE and Yokomo made them in various colors..... now they go for some good money which isn't worth it since you need to remove them every time you take a wheel off.
It's easy to make your own, grab some Top Flite TrimKote (adhesive) from the model shop and an olfa circle cutter and make your own. Here's a couple of what's left when I made a bunch for my oval car and stadium trucks. Make sure you get a rubber foot if you want a solid disk to prevent the pin from spiking the center.
The far left ones are silver but it's hard to tell in the photo. The far right 2.2 disk is a paper sample to check for size before cutting the actual TrimKote.

Re: Wheel Discs
Thanks guys, I saw some Yokomo wheel stickers that MCI racing is making.
Makes sense now thats what they are.
That would work on a shelfer since I wont be taking wheels off.

Re: Wheel Discs
Is this a cosmetic thing or was there a performance angle to it?
I think got a set of wheels that are supposed to go with these kind of caps with a trade.

Re: Wheel Discs
It keeps dirt / mud from collection in the crevices of the wheels. That could make make wheels heavier and unbalanced. The backside disk is probably more beneficial.

Re: Wheel Discs
Can you put them on the stock wheels?
so they would just stick to the edge, the inside would be hollow because of the shape of the wheel.

Re: Wheel Discs
Correct, they just stick to the lip of the rim.
Think of them as the precursor to the flat faced/aero rim.

Re: Wheel Discs
I came across these from MCI
1/10TH ASSOCIATED - 58MM WHEEL DISC DECALS
This may work for those not inclined to cut their own.

Re: Wheel Discs
I noticed those too, I'm going to order some of those and get them solid, no hole in the middle.JosephS wrote: ↑Wed Apr 13, 2022 1:58 pm I came across these from MCI

Re: Wheel Discs
Put them on my T2.
I think its a cool look, something different.
If the rims have some scuffs and scratches I could see the stickers not staying on.
