Rc10 stealth gear box

Post by clutchcargo »

Is associated #6571 the correct top shaft for the stealth buggy trans? And does the 10t use the same shaft? Looking at some online docs can get confusing :?

Yes- and it was used from the first stealth through the DS, B3/T3 and GT as well.

If you want to modernize, Avid makes a topshaft to run the dual disk stuff and they make a slipper assembly that will be great on the wallet vs sourcing vintage parts

Edit: What he said.

The same input shaft was used in all Stealth transmissions through the B/T3. As such, the larger B/T3 (and later GT) slipper can be used on earlier cars.

The transmissions from the 10T, Team Car, Stealth CE, DS, and Worlds cars are basically the same.

Re-re Worlds cars have a revised case and idler gear. They also use a B4 input shaft and V2 slipper. The V2 slipper is a little better but the earlier case and idler is far better.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Yes, someone noticed that the original Stealth tranny didn't provide enough drag and was far too quiet so they fixed that with the re-re.
