Vintage rc10 Bearings

Post by vtecboost »

I'm restoring an original graphite chassis RC10. I would like to know what size bearings does this car take, and how many.

i used this duratrax set
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD034&P=0

for the front and rears originaly youd need 8 flanged 1/4 x 3/8 for the wheels.BUT unless you want to scout ebay and risk paying a handful i just went with this set and used the 3/16 bearings with b2 rims for the front.i went though with rpm rear carriers and thier bearings made special for them for the rears.http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000179280&I=LXEU81&P=K

the duratrax set is the closes i could find but you will get all the bearings you need for the tranny and the 2 for the outdrive and diff gear.you will have an extra 6 3/16 ones though.

if you scroll down to the post "parts required", on may 15, i made a list of bearing sizes for different applications. take a look at that. the trans bearings in that post are for the 6 gear trans. if you have the stealth, here are the sizes.

(2)- 5/32 x 5/16 unflanged
(4)- 3/16 x 3/8 unflanged
(2)- 3/8 x 5/8 unflanged
