I saw a picture online, an old ad, showing the Cox Scorpion (in the US. it was distributed by Cox and the only thing that differs from the Kyosho / Graupner-version are the decals, the box and that it was pre-assembled as far as I know). It said "Modeled after Bob Rodine´s buggy".

Can anyone tell me in which magazines / issue no's / months / years / I can find that Cox advert with that picture please?

Sometime in 82' I guess, but I don't know what magazine. It could be just a leaflet distributed by the hobby stores.

Came across this thread on account of my new found interest in kyosho Scorpions.
This is an absolutely brilliant idea, build and result.
Truly inspired and inspiring at every step. From reversing the gearbox, through the cage work, the parts selection, the problem solving and craftsmanship, to the painting and finishes. Superb.
Congrats to the creator.

I highly recommend this read to anyone who hasn’t seen it. Belongs to a top ten list.
