But you're not having a problem with your bulkhead, right? I think maybe five minutes with a file and the tub could be clearanced and you can run your arms in swb configuration.

Well I ended up using the parts I have and didn't file the tub... Its clean enough, maybe someday it goes on the shelf? Who knows....

So I went Cerakote, and lets just say I need more practice with my airbrush... LOL It went on a bit dry. But its on, and I still plan to slap a chassis protector on the bottom anyway. Easy enough to strip and anodize or powder coat in the future. I came really close to just polishing it.

Not exactly the look I was going for, but it works. The wheels I ordered from the UK should be here before too long and bring back the retro look some I think. It could use some more blue hardware to finish the look too.

The car is back together. I need to order the steering bearings. I do need to figure out body mounts. I need the front mount to standup straight in place of the angled version that is stock. So that will take some work. My 3d printer is currently down for the count. Sneak peak of the Sabula Tech body in the background. Lets just say cutting into brand new 1/10 parts isn't less stressful than cutting into brand new 1:1 parts...

Oh, and electric stuff... Need to pick a motor and figure out if the ESC is good. Can I run it with a missing heatsink? This one gets a NiMh battery and a RTR Associated 2.4 radio.

The Slot Machine might go in my Team Car since I used to run it that way in the 90s.

I think the cerakote itself would work pretty good, I just didn't get it applied quite as well as I would have liked. I need a lot more practice with my airbrush.

do us a favor and let us know how the cerokote holds up. I've had guns cerokoted but they don't quite get the abuse my rc does and was wondering how it would hold up. For what its worth I like it. Kinda the look of the current 9mm I'm going with.

Well the order from the UK got here, as did the Associated Chassis protector. I built a quick and dirty rear body mount. There were two less than centered holes in the rear bulkhead already, so I went with them instead of drilling new ones. I got two sets of wheels, so the question is what to do with the second set. Both bright yellow. I need some nice all terrain tires for one set.

Is there a nice option for a vertical body mount in the front? The factory front mount comes out perpendicular to the bend of the nose plate. I need it to be 90* to the tub instead. I have seen mounts with bent up screws that might be what I end up with. An 8/32 screw with a nut and a nice bend in it to make it vertical. My 3D printer is currently down for the count...

Tires and rims look great. I'd put the other set in my stash for later... maybe for another set of tires.

I've not seen a vertical body mount for the front, other than a bent up screw. Sure would be easy to mount a body is someone 3D printed one. I always have a hard time getting it done.

A popular method was to run longer screws through the bellcrank and use it to mount the body, but it was usually done on just one side. This was from the Worlds car manual...

No buggy body for this one. Once I figure out this mount I'll paint it and post up some pictures. I need to find an interesting rear wing too, so open to suggestions there. I'm leaving things stock too so I can paint up a buggy body at some point as well.

The post on the longer steering screw is awesome! I hadn't though about that option.

Rear Wings...

For a buggy, I've always been partial to the one that comes with the JConcepts Detonator body. It's kind of hard to get just the wing alone. The did come as a 2 piece set but have not had any luck getting them. The wing that comes with the Jamin' Jay Jumper is cool, I think you can get them from Sabula Tech.
