Stealth Idler Gear removal

Post by jeepnut24 »

Does anyone have any tips for removing the idler gear bearings from my RC10 stealth transmission? They are the last thing to remove in my tear down and Im stuck. Tried a good smack on the table and they didn't budge.

Insert the idler or a top shaft and just give it a slight twist to lock it against the shaft as you gently pull. They will come out

If you wanted to get really tricky you could do like the 1:1 guys and pack grease in the hole and press a shaft in, making it hydrolock out but that’s a ton of messy work

+1 for the top shaft. Insert and cock the topshaft slightly, then pull.
