Acetone - IT WORKS!
Just wanted to share with everyone and not that I doubted any of you, but Acetone does work to remove epoxy from graphite chassis plates. I had three Losi JRX2 chassis plates that now look as good as new after a bath in Acetone (I should have taken photos). There was one with a huge glob of what looked like JB weld (I am sure it wasn't) that was over a 0.25 inch thick............ GONE!
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

I have to say Acetone is the best cleaner I have found. So good for used wheels! Not good for ABS plastic though.

Just be careful that the chassis does not start to de-laminte.......as I have had this happen.
Acetone is awesome - but particularly nasty.
Cheers

Yes don't use it willy nilly on fibreglass as it can de-laminate as the acetone eats the resin/glue which holds them together. You can use it on fibreglass but you have to be very careful you are wiping off what you want, e.g. glue or paint or something and not the resin holding it all together...for fibreglass don't soak it just wipe it on and then off again...RETRO R/C wrote:Just be careful that the chassis does not start to de-laminte.......as I have had this happen.

It's fine for graphite and carbon fibre though...just go softly.
It's rank and nasty but I love the stuff...
