RC10 Graphite - Front wheels?
RC10 Graphite - Front wheels?
Hi All,
I'm trying to figure out what wheels will work with my RC10 Graphite. I have the originals wheels still, but they're pretty trashed. What's on there now are Tamiya Wild One fronts with adapters for the original 3/16 x 1/8 bearings, these are 2.2" wheels. I tried finding another set of the Wild One's as I like the look of them and they're 20mm wide, but they're too expensive.
I've researched a bit, but can't seem to come up with a definitive answer - and most forum topics are out of date. I want to use modern 2.2" wheels, and keep a relatively narrow front tyre, say 20~25mm.
One method seems to be the front wheel conversion kit (6801) with B4 wheels (9588).
Question is
1. is there any wheels that will fit the stock front axles/bearings, or;
2. a wheel and different bearing set that suits?
Thanks.

I believe that the the re-re uses different front shafts to the old car. The re-re use the shaft you'd get in the front conversion kit and uses the same B4 wheels.tuna.Rc wrote:the rc10 classic . worlds re release kit. the new parts work on the old cars. plenty of parts on ebay.

Correct- the rere worlds uses newer offset wheels and long front axles. Kinda hacky. As far as available wheels for it, without changing axles- check JC Racing Wheels. They are fairly inexpensive and nicely made out of the U.K.

Re: RC10 Graphite - Front wheels?
Yeah I had to poke around, looks like they moved them to vintage but shows as clearance in the link
I have a couple sets, they are nice and the shipping was fast! It's worth buying a few extra sets

Re: RC10 Graphite - Front wheels?
Can someone measure the width of the fronts please? I want to get some tyres but don't know the width.
Thanks.
Thanks.
