I know you are right. I'm just going to buy another buggy for beating on and save this one for more of a "light duty" runner.

This is exactly how I went from 1 RC10 to 8 in less than 2 weeks.

I feel like I have the same problem. Addictions manifest themselves in many ways.

The re re RC10s are good runners, especially since the battery trays are a bit wider to accommodate lipo batteries. You should be able to find one for about $190 or less shipped new.

I'm in the UK and I'm finding the biggest obstacle to getting a car running is the availability of parts here. At first glance you think there are lots of distributors and such, but when you go to make your order find out all the key parts are out of stock.

Every time something breaks I face a 3 week wait for spares minimum. So frustrating.

I could see that shipping time being a real drag. I'm already tired of waiting for these transmission parts.

A couple of used transmissions came in. I tore the mid motor one apart and used the gearset with black idlers and the bearings to replace my felt.

And she is back together with a cheapo 2s lipo and 14t pinion (down from 16), new gear cover, new steering, and new front and rear bumpers.

Swapped back to 16t gear, 14 was too much. I added a Velcro strap to the battery.
That little 2200mah pack lasted quite a while and if ran great. It did everything better than it ever has. I think this is the configuration I'm going to leave it in.

I rewired if for the tamiya plug, so regular NIMH batteries from now on.

They are ok for very low amp ratings, but anything more than that, or a shelfer, they tend to melt. How they still manage to sell them in kits is beyond me.

Yeah. I've got the charger and all those batteries on that plug. I might swap them one day, but this was the fix until then.

I'm deeming it nearly done, other than regular maintenance and repairs. I have some wheel bearings coming for the front wheels. One had a small wobble.
That, and it is still pretty fast, maybe too much for the six gear. I think I hear the diff clicking in slow turns now, although it still drives perfect.
