Yup, in the coming days i should be test fitting everything, I'll keep you guys posted. As for the pulleys, i can machine shafts no problem if needed. I'll order some rod on Monday. Only other thing is the exact belt length, I'll order them in a couple different lengths to make sure i get the right one, they're fairly cheap.

Is there an official "build sheet" that details everything needed? Looks like there may be a shortage of cheap rollers on eBay as we all start buying them up for this project

Gah! First i find out about the Worlds car Rere and now this!!! Ok just gotta ask what front arms are needed for this build? I have a pair of the RPM short arms for the front of my buggy and would like to be able to use them if at all possible if that is doable i could very easily see using my current gold pan 6 gear buggy for the base for such a build! Also have you considered making a 2wd case that has the 6 gear bolt pattern on it but allows for conversion to the Stealth trans?

The kit is designed to use AE long front arms, like from the World's cars. For arms of any other length it would be up to you to find CVAs of the correct length.

I have actually designed a Stealth case that has 6-gear mounting, and I've had one made. I havent had time to test it out yet as the ten4 project took over all my development and testing time. I'll release that case eventually though.

Hmmm the above information actually kinda fits in well with my plans in a way..I was already planning on picking up a Worlds rere roller and a rere kit. I had been thinking about the idea of either picking up a second kit as well to use as a parts donor for my gold pan. From what i have seen so far it looks like a lot of the parts i need from it would be replaced by the 4wd parts anyway, most notably the steering parts and shock towers. And the fact you are working on a stealth trans case for the 6 gear bolt pattern works nicely as well...it will allow me to update my 6 gear car with the transmission from the rere kit! Def gonna keep tabs on this!

This is NOT a final version of the list of needed parts, but should be 98% accurate. Understand things may change a little, but shouldnt change much. For example I would feel safe recommending sourcing all the front end drive and stealth diff parts. The steering pivots from the Worlds steering bellcranks should not be needed as Brian was going to 3d print them.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
TEN4 conversion kit

OEM parts that you will need: (this is assuming a Champ Edition with Stealth, Team Car, or Worlds car)

Front Wheels:
9767 Fr wheel (or compatible)

Front Drivetrain:
3438 Low Profile 8-32 nuts
7369 Axle Pin
9647 Steering Spacers
9749 Front CVA Kit
9750 Wheel Adapter
9751 Bearing Spacers

Steering:
6252 Worlds steering set (Just need pivots)

Front Transmission:
3926 Diff Rebuild kit
6577 RH Outdrive
6578 LH Outdrive
6580 Diff Gear
6581 3/32 Balls

Rear transmission
6565 stealth case (only needed on ReRe worlds)

Rear Suspension:
6262 Turnbuckle (1.65”)

Bearings:
DTXC1437 3/8 x 5/8 (2)
DTXC1423 3/16 x 3/8 (6)
DTXC1411 5/32 x 5/16 (2)
DTXC1401 1/8 x 5/16 (2)
3/16 x 3/8 Flanged (2)

Nose Plate:
6310 Nose Plate (must NOT be cut style, mostly needed for Worlds kits)

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As of June 21, 2015 these parts total $111.40 from Tower Hobbies without nose plate, coupons or shipping

All Parts can be sourced as needed from other manufacturers

Some parts may not be needed for all applications. For example, most people will have 4 wheel bearings to reuse from their 2wd front wheels, but some will not. Parts list assumes worst case scenario.

Graphite chassis: you will need to use a shorter belt and relocate steering bellcranks with a special template. Details coming.

I can def understand that. The parts i was planning on using from the donor car for my gold pan were the Shock towers and steering bellcranks both of which are replaced in the 4wd conversion anyways.

Only a couple minor tweaks needed. Even the front drive shaft plunge is perfect on both compression and droop. I'm stoked!

Need to disassemble and dye it all black, but that's the last step

Looks great guys! You both have done a great job on making this project come to light. Thanks in advance from all of us that always wanted one of these kits and for some reason was not able to get them in the past.

Mmmmh purdy! I actually like the black and white look of it, makes it more genuine and in line with the era it mimics. Can't wait to see the RR parts.

Just a small update. Based on Jeff's feedback, I made some final tweaks/improvements on several of the parts. I also designed an adjustable front tensioner. I couldn't bring myself to ask you guys to adjust the belt by shimming the nose tubes like in an MIP kit
The tensioner has .080" of adjustment in it and locks into position.
I'm going to order these updated parts from shapeways and once I test fit them all I will release them for sale. Won't be long now!
