Just curious guys, are there going to be any issues with the belt clearing/rubbing the battery strap? I know that the Lipo ard cases tend to have a taller profile than the older battery packs. Btw its really exciting to follow your efforts on this project!

The MIP rubbed so this one problem will a little also, but the tensioned side of the belt is the top so it won't be under any real pressures. It will be recommended to cut out the bottom of the battery cup to allow the battery to sit on the chassis.

I'll slip a batter in the mock-up car in the next day or so to see where we are. But just "eye-balling" it without a battery it looks like there will be plenty of space.

Bulkhead version 3

I moved the rear guide down more and gave it more clearance with the transmission case, it was hitting on the last version.

I also checked clearance with a battery pack, there was plenty

Looking really good and that is probably really close to what MIP could have outed if ever pigs would fly as good as on the Pink Floyd art. Talking clearance it looks like the left battery plug will be challenging to clear or is it the angle of the picture? Good luck with finishing it off!

Just to be 100% sure (I'm a RC10 rookie).... It will not be possible to use the A&L Lethal Weapon 2 tranny with this, as the mid gear that drives the belt to the front wheels are just a pulley/guide on the LW2 transmission?

Should be okay with low profile battery plugs. I'll try it out.

Yup, those are exactly what I'm talking about. AE makes low profile ones too.
