I have similar shocks on a hand built car but it only has two pegs and an adjustable collar. It is hard to explain but I'll work on pics when I'm not so busy with work and family issues.

That version of the black shock came on several cars like the rampage series.

I think I first saw it on the optima mid custom, or could have been the maxxum... but my vote goes to the LWB mid insteadgomachv wrote:That version of the black shock came on several cars like the rampage series.

I have to agree on the ugly part, but you scored big for $20!
The rear wheels alone are worth double that.

I kinda like the wing but not the body, it doesn't match.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

When I redo this car, I'll keep the old style wing. The body does look a little of too but I'm keeping this car as close to it is with minor changes.

This is the first time I've ever heard them being called ugly before. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I'd like to eventually have one in my collection but they seem to be popular if eBay is any indicator as they always seem to fetch good money no matter what the condition.

ok have a question about the wing..
i tracked down a TBG repo body so thats all cool.. but wing wise i cant find anything.. i have a busted base for the wing but have no idea on the side panel dimensions..
if anyone has one they can measure it would be much appreciated..
cheers

Ok, wasn't feeling the Rebel Flag and the fact it was missing a side panel.

If this thing wasn't complete, I'd seriously consider this route.

Okay...NOW this Sideways is possibly the ugliest car I've ever laid eyes on.Johnboy72 wrote:Ok, wasn't feeling the Rebel Flag and the fact it was missing a side panel.

Re: Sideways, the ugliest Sprint car I've ever laid eyes on.
So it seems I'm stuck with this thing. I've sold off a majority of my collection to fund my full size race car. Lately I've been suckered back into racing. Been having some fun. For the hell of it, I put the Sideways on the track. It actually brought a smile to my face. Fast forward and I see a Losi Slider on the track with a young kid. This week another one is supposed to show up. So I'm considering putting this on the track with one of my boys.
Now the transmission...did these actually contend against a RC10 or Losi? I don't know if I have 32p gears laying around. Thinking about just doing a frankenstein build. I'd like to see this slammed down with a Stealth trans in it. Would turn some heads to get this thing about the track versus the CW cars. lol. Any suggestions?
