its the HPI two speed. whether or not the topshaft will fit a stealth tranny remains to be seen.

yes, but it is made for a Team AE car/buggy. I was thinking it could work on my vintage RC10L pan car, but what's with the topshaft then..

Without a lof of fabrication and modification it wouldn't work for your 10L. Plus a 10L is fast enough without a two speed set up

I agree. Not gonna try to fit it into a rc10l, so that must mean its made for the RC10 stealth trans?

A two speed doesn't really do much on any electric car and it'd cripple a pan car like the 10L. Not only would you lose braking you'd lose the diff.

The Lazer Lite shadow had a 2 speed but only did so by adding a basic chain drive transmission to run the rear axle.

A good brushless ESC will do the job a 2speed spur will.

I agree with Phin. a two speed on an electric car sucks. if you understand how they shift you'll know why I say they suck. in the beginning of the pack, it will shift too soon. Mid pack is just right and by the end of the pack it won't shift at all

I would love one of these for my dragster, soft hit off the line and bam 2nd gear kicks in 1/4 midway through the 132 feet for major acceleration.

Who’s got one for me :D
