Looking for Composite Craft two-tier front suspension detail

Post by trailblazer04 »

I just purchased a new Composite Craft two-tiered chassis. I would appreciate any info on what members have used for the front suspension. I know that RPM Worlds front ends are used but they are VERY hard to find so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need the RC10T truck front bulkhead not the RPM Worlds for the CC Worlds chassis since you need the nose tube mounting points for the front of the top deck. RPM Worlds bulkhead doesn't have that.

You can use the 10T bulkhead with Dynotech Klien arms or Seabass arms when he does another run. You'll need BST access for the latter.

My new Composite Craft two-tiered chassis just arrived. Great quality product. I have always wanted one of these so I was happy to learn they still made chassis.

I was told I need 10T parts so I am looking for those now. I have some used ones but I will build this with new parts.

10t parts like the front bulkhead, yes. The rear toe blocks are specific to RPM rear worlds configuration (as drilled by CC) as is the entire geometric lay-out. You really can't fudge those parts on that chassis and still have a "normal" width car. That entire chassis is designed around the RPM worlds 91' conversion parts. You can get Dynotech/Klein front and rear arms (same width) but you can't really adjust anything else.

I asked because I have two extra sets of rear toe blocks. I am willing to part with a set I have that's been dyed yellow. Other than those, you can get the 10T front bulkhead, front shock tower from Aaron, and arms from Seabass or Dynotech/Klein (as mentioned above). I also found that Nitro Stampede front arms work well, see below. Everything else can be stock parts including CVDs

Reg - so to confirm ..... The only rpm specific items, not remade by someone else would be the rear arm mounts?

that is correct.

arms, hubs, towers are all remade by one person or more. rear arm mounts are RPM only.

being as though c.c. makes the worlds chassis again, i'm really surprised no one has decided to knock out some rear arm mounts for them. everything else to complete the chassis is readily available in some way, shape, or form.

want to point out....... i don't believe jake's (seabass) rear arms will work using them on an actual worlds rear setup. they're designed around an "old is new" concept and are longer than a worlds arms. they will physically mount up, but cvd length will be an issue.... i would think.

Glad you mentioned that. I have been told the Klein arms are the same length as the RPMs so I probably drew the assumption that Jake's were the same, sorry.
