Well, I woke up to "no route" so I decided to take a drive. Two and a half hours later I'm in eugene at the hobby shop that made these creations.
Asked the guy at the counter if anyone there would have been working 26 years ago.
Yup
Just went to lunch. DOH!
Shopped a bit, disappointed that they have little to no old stock. Got an hour left to dig up more change for the parking meter lol. Killin time...killin time....
Anyone wanna play words with friends?

What Beetle body and front tires were used on that? Any idea on how many kits were made?
Imagine if they would have still had some of those kits in the back room.
Last time i was in that shop he brought me out a box of what was left of there old stock and it wasnt a whole lot i bought most of the tamiya stuff and there wasnt any rc10 parts.
I am still driving... I will give you all more info a little bit later
There were about 100 kits made, some reaching over to England
The chassis was made locally
Mystery hollow threaded rod is made by kimbrough
There was an offset oval version with battery cutouts made!
I did take the aluminum version with me, I would call the feeling "blown away" lol
He has seen this thread now, and hopefully will be joining in on it!

It's going to happen. I'm sourcing some metal to have formed for the mold, and with Phin's help I think we have someone to lay up the chassis 4 at a time (might only be one batch?!)
With the re-re out its easy to get the parts now, and it's a repro anyway so why not!
The carbon parts are going to be pricy, but not out of control pricy (IMO). Just have to keep in mind it's a very limited re-production
This fronts look familiar. AJ's I'm sure. Need to do some digging.

All credit goes to Gomachv for this super find. After having the smarts to link A-Main's address from the RCCA ad to an old hobby shop in Oregon Gomachv actually managed to find a local racer who ran the Bullet at a ROAR event and still had the...

Just found this little guy,
can someone tell me, what the period correct parts are, thanks.
Late tub GT with the 96 GT II style towers and T2 type arms. Black parts.
well its not a mip cable drive since those parts are super hard to come by as you guys all know, so i made this one a 2wd version. i did this one with the cox sidewinder body since i liked it better than the dodge body. i think it came out pretty...
One of the most innovative cars of the history of RC... canned a few months after its release as the racing rules went another direction from that gambled on by Masami and Masaaki. Makes it even more desirable if you ask me!

I've run across several of these since this post. Wishing I could afford one when they show up but even the basket cases seem to demand big bucks.
These are definitely worth the money in cool factor but I can always come visit Pauls here in this...
Does anyone have a writeup on the old A-Main Racing (AMR) trucks as run by Kinwald, Lett, etc, pre RC10GT? I'm thinking 1991... My LHS guru recalls a RCCA writeup on Kinwald's truck.
Got two VERY different AMR trucks, both pre-GT, the only thing...

Picked this up a while back thinking it would make a good project. The chassis was near perfect so I didn't do anything besides strip and anno it gold. The parts were painted black, i stripped them and dyed them properly. Very happy with the color...

The purpose for this part was to enable me to use a hardcase lipo. I know it...
