A-Main gas conversion help

Does anyone have a writeup on the old A-Main Racing (AMR) trucks as run by Kinwald, Lett, etc, pre RC10GT? I'm thinking 1991... My LHS guru recalls a RCCA writeup on Kinwald's truck.

Got two VERY different AMR trucks, both pre-GT, the only thing that's the same between them is the gearbox/rear brake.

Thanks for any input, if you could post any scans in the "scans" section it would be great! These pre-date my involvement in RC. :oops:

PS: Is it just me, or does EVERYONE have a TON of old Protech chargers and basic Futaba 2PB radios... :?: Not to mention the giant pile of chrome HPI truck wheels... :shock:

Gotta come up with something to do with 'em besides landfill. :?

Unfortunately I don't know. Could you look through 1992 & maybe 1993 in your spare time? I now think 1991 is too early, since the RC10T wasn't released until the fall of '91. :oops:

Thats my old truck I sold on ebay with the purple arms. I bought it ? I have the box around somewhere with racers name in it > I bought at the nationals.Its not a amain truck .I have a nib a main conversion still

I bought it on eBay. :)

If it's not an AMain what is it?? :shock: The gearbox, brake, engine mounts are just like an AMain... and everything looks just like the new build in the top photo. The only difference I see is the gearbox on my chassis with the white top plate has the left side milled slightly, and the top corner is a little differently shaped. Plus the obvious difference in the gearbox support.

Do you mean the white top-plate truck is not an AMain?

What a mystery... :?

Amain bought the conversion off them .I bought it and like i said i have a nib amain conversion. I think it was a dungeon dragon coversion.I'll have to look in garage for its box.Fuel tank is a old rampage tank

dude, dont let me psyche ya out that easy...

i am as much of an rc10t fan as i am a buggy guy, and i cant help but really think thats just about the coolest 10t hopup ever.

besides, i'm sure theres alot of guys with deeper pockets than me that are gonna try and win that...
