That's absolutely true. The small cracks were due to the lubricant inside the bearing...and not necessarily due to abuse. Before pro-line introduced the solid dish wheel (that everyone upgraded to), some of the guys would soak the bearings in motor spray to remove the lube....which either eliminated the cracking or kept it to a minimum.DerbyDan wrote:If the wheels had ever been used the early wheels are almost bound to show signs of splitting around the inner bearing recess!
