Early Style, Thin Jrx-2 Shock Spring Collar Repair?

Has anyone ever determined a strong yet aesthetically pleasing fix/repair for the early style, thin Jrx-2 shock spring collars? I have used epoxy, and while strong, it usually looks kinda ugly. I have tried a tiny machine screw into a pre-drilled and tapped hole, but the screws either snap off or strip out the threads. I am just wondering if I can somehow repair the plethora of split collars that I have or if I should just toss them. I hate tossing them, especially if they can be repaired. I am mainly asking because I'd like to use these collars on my shelf queen Jrx-2. So strength is not as big of a concern as is the aesthetically pleasing part, but I don't want them to slip when I take the buggy down and play with the suspension.

Ive got a set i need to do aswell. The idea ive had is to superglue it, drill the hole out slightly so that the thread is effectivly stripped, and use slightly longer bolts with nuts on the back. hope that helps you.

What's the diameter of the shock bodies, and the inside diameter of the springs? Perhaps some retainers for other brands would work.

CA/superglue works, but just doesn't hold as well as I'd like for a permanent fix. It was actually my first thought as well. Plus I always glue my thumb to the part in the process. Then that led me to epoxy and I'm not typically delicate enough to properly place just a dab of epoxy. The nut could work, however, I was hoping for something less visible. I'm not sure of the shock body dimensions off the top of my head, but there are other options available as was suggested. I'm just being picky and stubborn and was hoping to somehow reuse the originals and not spend any $, . Maybe someone could 3D print some one of these days, . Anyway, thanks for the suggestions!

The shock diameter is very close to the kyosho platinums. As for a permanent fix, I've never really seen one that doesn't involve totally changing the look of the part.

I remember a very long time ago seeing some of the Losi factory drivers using the screws and threaded inserts that hold together the hydra-drive on their shock spring collars.
