T3 question?
Did Factory Team T3's come with Lundsford turnbuckles or AE's blue titanium turnbuckles?

Re: T3 question?
My team trucks came with AE's blue turnbuckles. I'm not sure if they are titanium or not.

Re: T3 question?
Blue turnbuckles it was, I just had a look at my FT B3 box and it says blue.
Another question, are Thunder Tiger chassis parts identical or are they different? I want some new parts for one of my T3's but don't want to cheapen it. If they are different I'll track down genuine AE parts.

Re: T3 question?
Seeing if the chassis plates and some various plastics are the same. I'd like a new chassis too.

Re: T3 question?
I've heard on this forum that the plastic parts TT uses are of a different substance. I've bought a couple of rear TT arms for my T3 (Amain,$2,99 ) and they work just fine (and cheap too!). I've checked, but they are on backorder at the moment.
Metal parts should be the same I would think..... I've got some TT outdrives (Amain,$10,99 each) and they also work just fine.
front kick up is exactly the same, at the rear the TT is completely different (plastic crap btw!)

Re: T3 question?
The front and rear plate looked identical so I bought them. The plates were tapped with imperial threads instead of metric so I reckon there the same. All I need now is a new T3 chassis and she'll be like new.
In saying that replacing everything with new takes away a bit of character and kind of makes it "just another truck".

Re: T3 question?
The TT chassis works, just slightly different mold and plastic composition. It will work, just won't hold up as well as the originals do.

Re: T3 question?
After looking a bit more you can tell the AE plastics have more glass fibers in it.

Re: T3 question?
If you're anxious to run, toss on a TT chassis for now and in the meantime keep an eye out for an original. Hopefully it will last until you find one, unfortunately in my case it did not.
I hit a tree and those little nubs in the front top plate area sheared right off... boo

Re: T3 question?
The chassis on mine is fine, just a bit scratched although not badly. I just wanted to freshen it up a bit before sticking it on the shelf for the rest of its life. I put the new rear plate on but kind of like the semi worn blue FT chassis plates, it tells more of a story.

Re: T3 question?
Well, I can finally put this pair to bed as I finally finished them off. There wasn't much to do really other then buy tires and bodies. I wish I had an FT T3 box and paperwork though.
Crappy pics but ...........

Re: T3 question?
Looks good! Snag some blue RPM rear arm mounts and gear covers if you can, all the blue RPM stuff looks nice
