Tomy Intruder

Post by Synergy »

This one has appeared here before a couple of years ago. It's my uncles car and has sat in his garage since the early 90s having completed only a few races.

It was almost sold as I had little interest in it, at that time I was concentrating on collecting all of my must have models. My collection is now pretty much completed so I thought I'd go and see if I could strike a deal with uncle to take this one on.

Under that horrific shell is a model in decent shape, the wheels will clean up well with little damage evident, the shocks are in great condition and the bumper shows little evidence of abuse.

I plan to strip and clean, add Fibre-Lyte towers, a new body set and some black powder coating to the rront arms and rear hub carriers, however I could be tempted to convert to Yokomo wheels, we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

I have always loved the obscure cars, this and a Pro Radiant are in my top cars to own. Both would be runners though :)
