Kyosho Gold Rebuild ??
Tore out the seals on my golds, and don't have any rebuild packs, SO, thought I'd go check the spare parts bin (oops, I mean trash) at work. What size are those retaining rings for the seals?

He might be referring to the thin steel spring clips that you install on the bottom of the shock body, that hold everything inside. I don't know the size but could measure later on this evening.

Re: Kyosho Gold Rebuild ??
Marc, you hit the nail on the head. An alternative to the spring clip is what I was looking for. I couldn't find any metric internal rings, but got a couple std ones that look close. The kyosho w5018 kit would do it, it's ony $6, but kyosho America's minimum postage is another $6.
. I assume the associated kit wouldn't work, but IDK, maybe. What about this traxxas kit?

How many spring clips do you need? I could probably spare a couple.
