The Dollar General store now accepts Paypal

Post by THEYTOOKMYTHUMB »

I was in there last night grabbing a couple of things and just barely caught the "paypal" payment option as I went to swipe my debit card. I asked the lady about it and she said it was new and no one had used it yet. I asked how it works and she said it either works off a card you can get or off of a cell phone number. Just struck me as odd. I think I'll stick to more traditional payment methods.

EDIT: Maybe this is old news and I'm just not very observant.

I hate members who resort to cheap toilet humor and throw off the original intention of a thread.

I bet flipwils11 is now thrilled.

I've seen PayPal loadable gift cards at some local stores around here, so maybe those are what you have to use? Maybe you can load money on to them and then link them to your account or something. But if you have money to load on a card, why wouldn't you just pay cash for an item?

i use my paypal debit card a lot, when i take in money its easier than withdrawing it and depositing into my bank account. I think the only difference here is that now you dont need a physical card, just a phone number and your pin.

Makes sense I guess. I just hadn't seen the option before. I simply thought to myself "Geez, there's no escaping them...". :?

All I'd stopped in there for was a wig, nail polish and bikini wax kit.
