That was an amazing restoration! I can't believe they got that car straightened back out.

We had a replica of the General Lee at the shop for years. It was fun to take out to lunch or cruises, and blow through an intersection laying on the "dixie" horn

I went to the Duke fest a few yeas ago it was the last one they had at cooters place before they shout down the one near me. it was alot of fun Dassy, Rosco, Cleatus, Bo,& Luke and a few others were their, all looking a lot older they were really friendly. but it was a good time they had a general you could sit in and take pictures and they junped one and mashed it all up. the Charger was one of my faverite cars before the Duke's even came on tv. my Uncle had a dark green 68 SE 383 4sp, when I was a kid. it kills be to see them mash them up. their was no fixing this one when they were done.

I agree, back in the day when they were a dime a dozen, that's one thing, but a couple years ago when the did that sorry excuse for a remake movie, the cars were much more difficult to find. Since the movie, there's 39 fewer of them now.

Melvinsarmy - Thanks. I was looking for the Dixie horn for a post over at CT when I found a short intro vid advertising the site where I found this. I couldn't get the vid to work at first, so I read the text. This morning I got the vid to work, and it was interesting, but basically was all explained by the text on the page, so for those who didn't see the vid, you didn't really miss anything other than getting to see the restored car and John Schneider driving it when it was debuted at the very place it was killed 30 years before.

God! Am I really THAT old?!?!!? Has it been 30 years since I watched that show? LOL

yup, that's the one. i'll have to dig through some boxes in my parent's basement to see if i can find any of my stompers. last time i looked (couple years ago), none were in the box with the track.
