RC10 Boca Bearing set
RC10 Boca Bearing set
Hi All,
I'm getting some bearings for my short-arm 6-gear RC10, and I was looking at Boca Green Seal bearings. What is the difference between these three bearing sets?

I have checked multiple times, and they all look identical. What's going on?

i got a set of ultra seals in one of my dead pool cars. they are far superior to the standard bearing. they spin longer, maitenance free, and lubed for life. before you spend money on bearings, ask yourself what you're going to do with the car.

I do mainly offroad driving, which is why I was looking at green seals. LittleVETTE, do you mean a replica of the car used in the Dead Pool car chase? That's cool!

Re: RC10 Boca Bearing set
it's my blue one. it's been modified for hotter runs. that's the reason why i put the ultra seals in the car. the others i've built had standard 1 dollar bearings. no reason to buy the fast bearings when the cars are going to be sitting pretty.85Edinger wrote:I do mainly offroad driving, which is why I was looking at green seals. I won't buy from boca, had a bad experience with them on fleabay. I agree, I've used avidrc and their price and quality are good.
Re: RC10 Boca Bearing set
@flipwils11, what happened? Was the product bad, or was it an issue with the seller?

Re: RC10 Boca Bearing set
The more a bearing is sealed the slower it will be right? If you want a fast bearing you get metal or (not recommended) no seal ones. I like Avid because their Revolution bearings are the best of both worlds. Rubber sealed on one side and metal on the other. They're great for places where only one side of the bearing will be exposed to the elements like in a gearbox.

I had a question after I purchased, but before I paid. Sent them 3 messages, zero response.85Edinger wrote:@flipwils11, what happened? Was the product bad, or was it an issue with the seller?

Re: RC10 Boca Bearing set
How do the metal shielded bearings do in dirty conditions? Most of the sizes don't seem to be avaliable as Revolutions, and I run on a very dusty backyard track.
