I am in the process of moving my small hobby shop to a new building so we can run indoors.
Starting to look into carpet for the track looks, like CRC Ozite carpet is what I want but its not cheep.

A suggestion for an off road carpet track, don’t believe I saw this mentioned: Require tape on the bottom of the chassis to cover the screw heads. Keep a few rolls around the pits even.

The combination of the fairly hard track and high speeds due to the traction levels can be hard on off roaders, and tends to cause some loose screws (pun intended??). Which then snags that nice new expensive carpet.

Besides, whether heavy or light, cab forward or not, one thing is indisputable, duct tape simply makes racecars go faster!!

Well, after moving my personal residence the past month, I started getting back with the property owners for the track deal. There was a verbal agreement to pay one half month rent which would be applied to the first paid month. Was also agreeded that one month would be free to build, then one month free to open. Not now. A pro golf shop is stepping in, at full rate I assume. Was pretty pissed, but not much to do about it. Going to do some looking around for another possible sight. Not sure how it will be not having a hobby store next door as I'm not wanting to do both.
