JRX2 Pro Street...

Post by UltraHIVE »

Hey all, heres a shelf model / light street runner JRX2 that I'm working on here and there. Finally took some new pics, almost done with the build. I still have a few things left... to build a motor, drop a Tekin ESC, lower the ride, and swap the rear tower for a Pro SE. The wheels are Evader / BX dishes, which work great despite drilling out the rear axle holes a bit, considering they arent a complete outer offset. The body was painted black using window masks that I make, then decaled from the outside to resemble the JRX Pro box art. When its ready I'll glue the tires and do some light duty / high speed street passes. Enjoy! :D

Great build, car is looking great.

That is the A&L Power Clutch spring and thrust assembly on the tranny.
Old is more FUN

Team A&L know it all - really :)

I just caught something. Those aren't Losi wheels? Did you make stickers for them to make them look like they were? You may be onto something there. I've got a Pro that I'm using B4 wheels on. It would be nice to make them look like they were stock. I may have sold you a chassis but you've got so many neat ideas that I suspect the money is going back to you soon!

Thanks Daryl, sent you an email about those too. Since mine was missing a few parts, i replaced the thrust bearing with a regular bearing. Im hoping that the A&L spur plates have 4 holes and not 3?

I have those wheel decals ready, only problem is the level of difficulty to apply. best to use them on the least angled surfaces. the other option are full discs that cover the wheel like these...

Do you have them as just clear decals with black writing that you can apply over any color wheel? The B4 wheels aren't dished all that much so shouldn't be too bad.

While we're at it, do you have the full decal sheet for the JRX-Pro body as you have shown on your JRX body above? The red strip is supposed to be orange though.

What about the sticker on that "Revolution" motor, is that a re-print???
I ask because the color is off. The Losi motors had a brownish color for the letters, over yellow background - I have never seen black lettering, as on yours...

It looks cool! You got any more of those???

I can print a full wheel cover on clear, with only the writing showing, but you will have to apply it with light soapy water or water down windex, and a squeegee to avoid bubbles. The ones I have are clear but are done as a thin die-cut ring. the ones on my XXXS are full wheel discs. and yes, i can print up a set of the body stripes, they are supposed to be magenta and orange-red as per the box art. Pm me, and ill give u my email address. thx...

That's a sharp JRX2. Love the old 5 link cars. Nice job on the paint.
