Project Green Machine

Hi all.
I received this Green Pan off Bormac who won it from the 10talk auction.
Unfortunatley (for me) it had a truck nose plate so I asked around and Noony sold me a nip buggy nose plate and so began the search for parts to complete it.
I managed to score a lot of spares from a recent purchase of a gold pan from Bearickster which included a stealth transmission which I have decided to us in it.
I bought some NIP parts from AEstore also.
I had some leftover white parts such as ballends etc so I dyed them in Rit dye and they all came up really black. I found that a bit longer in the dye prevented the parts becoming purple.
Some of the dyed parts are rear arms and mounts, battery cup, ball ends, shocktowers rear bulkhead and some others.
I am going to use all new screws and nuts for this build. I'm also going to use a Novak Cyclone coupled with a Reedy Sonic or Team Checkpoint motor (just because it has a green label). Also will fit a new Bluebird servo which I have found to be very reliable.
Daryl is sending me a new A&L kit for the steering.
With the body I cant decide if I should use a Viper body or Turbo Mirage.

Are the chassis and nose plate the factory powder coated editions? If so where did you get the matching motor plate?

To tell you the truth I'm not sure about the motor plate or chassis but the nose is definately AE factory as it was NIP when I got it.
The chassis and motor plate are such a perfect match colour wise I would assume they are factory powdercoated too.
I am also going to fit Green (worlds type) shocks to the car too.

Yeah Daz. It'll be finished for the meet.
I have a very nice Gold Pan for running so this one will be concourse only. lol
I'm just waiting for some 32 pitch pinions and the gold pans will be finished.

That's interesting, I'm almost sure I had read that AE hadn't produced any factory powder coated motor plates I'm sure someone will clarify.

treehugger had those pieces powder coated. they're not factory.

associated didn't powder coat motor plates. ano'd aluminum will help to dissipate heat from the motor. powder coated parts...... not so much.

Hi all,
I have finished the project. Fitted A&L steering, Novak Cyclone and Reedy Sonic motor.
I wanted it to be unique looking so I opted for a Chenowth body.
I am pretty happy with it, but I am happy to hear peoples opinions/corrections etc
