Re: Green Machine
That looks Awesome!!!
Hi my name is Mike and I'm a Chromaholic, my wheels have been chrome free for over a year, thanks to everyone that made fun of them.
The older I get , the faster I was.

Re: Green Machine
Thanks for the kind words everybody!
It takes me a stupid amount of time to complete my builds because I am so anal.....................
P.S. Looking at the pictures I see that i need to replace a couple nuts and bolts with nicer ones.............Also, the trans plug has been left off on purpose to show a little more metal. Surprised that nobody mentioned it - this buggy will not see too much dirt sitting on a shelf

Re: Green Machine
No original parts were harmed or damaged in this build.
All the dyed black parts were taken off of a car I bought that was never run, so this was the perfect place for them. In my opinion the green chassis looks much better with black parts. I tried it with white but the green did not "pop".
The shocks were on another junker that I bought and they were hammered, guy must have stripped them down with some coarse paper or a wire wheel. I polished them but they still had deep scratches and I did not like the chrome look. So I got the sand paper out, 220 - 400 - 600 and then Scotch-Brite a couple hours later they looked pretty good.
But you can do it in a fraction of the time if you chemically strip the bodies and then hit them with Scoth-Brite. I wanted to see what it would take to save these, guess I have too much time on my hands
