Today the RC500 hit the pavement...DONUTS NEEDED
After getting the motor gone through by the amazing Glenn Williams, and then dialing it in. That banshee was a screaming, and boy did it howl. Planning the body paint as I write. The car has the 4WD conversion, also has the 2 speed add on, and quick release back wheels. Also want to thank a01butal he was very helpful and a real cool guy, and really helped me rebuild this car. Some really great people on this site, makes the hobby that much better and enjoyable. Before I forget, does anyone know where I can get donuts for these wheels, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have a few of early the 1/8th foam tyres, still in packets!.
However, I would highly recommend running modified modern rubber on this treasure - will give alot more grip and stability.............saving the car in the event of a little ïtchy trigger finger"
Cheers

Looking real good, you work fast. I've reshod my wheels with donuts from rc4less, these truck donuts are as close to the rear width as I can find in the modern rubber, just a little shy. http://www.rc4less.com/product_info.php?cPath=6&products_id=18&osCsid=0455204da595f76aecb4ceeb737e50ff
and of course then you have to size them on a lathe or drill press.

Please don't run that too much with foam tires if you're running on an untreated surface. Even a little dust will send it out of control!
Killer build!

Man that brings back memories. Sure wish I hadn't sold mine a number of years ago. First time I went to a local race it was a rainy day, that thing was sure a handful on a wet track. Race was eventuallycancelled but you know I had to drive it on the track
