If you can post a top view pic please -
Set up tip the rear suspension will work much better if the out drives on the tranny are 1/8" to 3/16" in front of the axles. suspension does not work at all if outdrives are behind axles.

Imagine a line between the center of the joint of the universal on one side and the one on the other side, you want the centerline of the outdrives of the tranny 3/16" in front of your u joints line.

Hope I'm making myself clear.
This is great info. I'm actually going to drive mine, not race though. But, since I'm putting in a stealth tranny, I now know where to drill new holes. Thanks, Daryl.

Mine is almost done. I just need some new 6 gear tranny cases and one more nip rear shock cap and body. Would not mind a nip rear bulkhead either in white of course.

“Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Know what I mean?”

Building mine as a shelfer although I would love to hear the metal idlers whine a bit.

this gear whine intriques me... i think i may have to see if i can rebuild one of these damn 6-gears and put a brushless to it...

all i remember from when i put my last one together (20some years ago) is that there were mucho very very little pieces and parts...

Mine will sound a little different than the standard 6 gear. Here is why:

Scr8p, planning a body for it? If so, which one?
It is too pretty really to cover up.

right now, i don't have and idea on a body. nor do i have any. so i'm thinkin it'll be naked for a while. if i get a protech body sometime down the road, i'll probably use one of those.

Nice work, Jason. It's great to see everyone's version of the A&L conversion. It's a little weird that they're all NAKED. When are the clothes coming AE!?!?

You're right Daryl. There's nothing wrong with tasteful nudity. Although, my A&L pics were taken outside for a little racey public nudity. :o
