Have a hard decision to make!
So the family I just bought my vintage Kendrick dirtoval lot offered to sell a race ready kart. I pass the info to my cousin's husband and he states he'll sell a 2010 Bicknel race ready for a steal. So now I have to decide what's more important. Some old RC cars or a kart? Cause to pay for the kart, I'd have to sell some stuff. I don't know how to even estimate worth. What should I do? I wanna race!

Re: Have a hard decision to make!
put a good description on ebay and they'll decide what the stuff is worth. If you still want to cover costs put a reserve on each one thinkin of what you had in them so at least you get that back. I'm sure some members here might help via pm also now that they know you want to sell
.
Good luck

Re: Have a hard decision to make!
Yeah, but I'd still keep the Havoc and work on a RC race package when money allows. If only I could braze up a couple of chassis' for myself and then sell off the other cars. AGH!Charlie don't surf wrote:In Upstate NY, the karting/racing season is really short........
I did just put a lot of my parts including an engine from my truck on craigslist. Hope some of that stuff will sell so I don't have to lose much RC stuff. Finger's crossed.

Re: Have a hard decision to make!
Ok, well let me rephrase that...almost real racing. I'm pretty sure a kart program is a little bit cheaper than a sportsman modified. Also, I can leave the kart at my cousin-in-law's house, he'll trailer it with his karts and all that. Probably have him sponsor and wrap the thing while I'm at it. Looks like I have over a month to get some funds together. Season looks all year at Can Am. We'll see.

It doesn’t matter if you race toy cars or real cars, money can still flow out of your pockets at an unbelievable rate.

Re: Have a hard decision to make!
been there done that
it's karting season again and some r/c's have to go
it's that way every spring. it depends on how far you want to go with the karting as to weather it's cheeper or not
and like reggie said north eastern karting seasons are short

Re: Have a hard decision to make!
Valid points from all. The plan was to get settled and start racing street stocks for 2012 season with my cousin-n-law. But honestly think with me being the military, the kart would be way to go. Less of an investment and kart is easier to store when I'm deployed. I'd like to get my oldest boy hooked and have a 2 kart team for 2012. Honestly think this will work out. Again, putting some non RC stuff for sale first and hoping for the best. Now time to wipe cobwebs off the paintball gear to list. LOL
