My Bruiser Project

I got this in a trade about 2 years ago. I haven't worked on it in almost a year, but will get around to it here soon and finish it. The pictures at the bottom are before it was stripped and after it was stripped.

This is how I got it 2 years ago.

After stripping all the paint off!

Looks great. You did a nice job on the paint. Are you going to go with decals or keep it more realistic looking?

Actually, I much prefer a non-stock color. OWN the car, don't let the car own YOU.

I'm new to Tamiya and was wondering. I purchased a Bruiser off CraigsList. I'm In the process of tearing it down slowly and cleaning. I was messing with the front suspension with the servo rod on the linkage attached and it seems the front wheels...

Thanks for the input and I did take the ends off the front differential and a piece of the casting on one side is cracked and fell into my hand. I will be looking for a replacement front diff assy and I will also open and check the guts for damage....

I never put any attention on tamiya 3 speed trucks before. but I got little interest in it after my old friend gave this bruiser to my kids last month.

the first thing I did was putting kimbrough servo saver then I put this RC4WD steering parts....

Very similar in concept but very few parts interchange between the two models.

I finally got a Tamiya Bruiser. Well, half of one.

I found it on ebay. It was over priced and relisted 3 times. The seller declined my offer, so I bit the bullet and bought it.

I am missing a lot of parts. It will probably never be a complete...

this is the Bruiser im getting in a few days ( put a down $$ on it) he said its a roller, body is a toyota hilux,and missing parts.
there is no electrics. looks mostly complete too me,

I found this gem in an obscure online selling site (obscure for RC) and got a really good deal.
The guy selling it knew what it was worth and I probably paid a little on the high side but it is original and the paintwork is fantastic.
