Melting insulation

Post by stone7223 »

Has anyone ever had the insulation melt off of a brand new NIMH battery after one charge and use?

Sounds like a connector issue. What kind of connectors are you running? What esc and motor? It sounds like the esc/motor combo is drawing more power than the connector can safely provide and is causing heat to back up into the battery wires. Need a little more info to give a definite answer though.
