Restoring a early gold pan . I want to assemble a box art battery pack. Will this get me started?

Re: battery question
Other than the label change, it should work. Heres the one out of my Edinger.
If things seem under control, you are just not going fast enough.

Re: battery question
or you could just buy one of these, cut off the shrink wrap, glue the cells together, and say......... close enough.

Tons of goodies on here; cells, end caps, wire, connectors, shrink wrap, etc. Even have end caps for smaller cells, for making mini stick packs.
The older manuals have instructions for building the battery packs in them.

Don't know if it's glossy or not, but keep trying 'yellow heat shrink' and see what you can find.
Re: battery question
I can find the tube to go over the 3 cells in a line. If you look close in this pic you can see it is wrapped twice and the top layer is lengthwise and looks to hold the two- 3 cell sticks together. That's the stuff I can't find. It must start out 8 inches wide!

I bought some from Racers Edge but its not correct. It would need to be exactly opposite this stuff where the short end is open and the long end is tube like for lack of a better term. I need the long end open and short sides sealed.

Not sure if this will work, but the bottom of the list is 4" PVC heatshrink tubing. Can choose red. It is 6 5/16" when flat, so just might be big enough to fit over those batteries lengthwise.

Also found this, even larger
