servo reverse.. switch wires around?
im working on a car i had sitting, all i gotta do is the wiring. im using a futaba attack sport (thanks Redscampi !)
and it doesnt have the reverse switch ,the throttle is set rite. just cant reverse the servo, so only thing is switching wires i guess. im using a OLD servo that has the male plugs, i cut the plug off, attached a newer plug. push the stick to the left ,it goes right. can i go red to black, or something?

i have switched wires around in the past on servos. never had any problems doing it. yes the red and black are the ones to switch iirc.

You have to be carefull because I tried it with a really old futaba servo and it did work, but when I tried it with a new one it let the majic smoke out.

Re: servo reverse.. switch wires around?
whoaahhh....dont swap any servo wires. that's not good.
if you want to reverse the throttle on a radio that doesn't have a switch, you need to open the radio, and swap the outer 2 wires on the potentiometer attached to the stick/trigger, whichever.
the potentiometer has ground and voltage applied to the end terminals, and the trigger or stick moves the signal, which is the middle wire, from ground to the voltage. swapping the ground and voltage position will reverse the signal operation.
swapping servo wires is a good way to destroy receivers and servos.

Na you are all wrong
you just need to turn the servo the other way around..upside down and back to front..that should do it..

does this radio have 4 screws holding the thottle and steering sections in?

What's it for? You could get a servo reversing Y-harness. They are made for planes, but you could use it for whatever as long as you had a little extra room to tuck-in the extra wires and small circuit board. It is a Y-harness that reverses one of the servos hooked to it. You could just use that side of the harness.

Re: servo reverse.. switch wires around?
Aren't there some brands of servos that turn in the opposite direction? I've seen the Clod guys talking about them, though I couldn't name any brands. Bill Krueger would know.
