An original is not worth much if it is so rare that it cannot be used! I would gladly sacrifice an original for 10-20 repros. If you use the original for you car it would still leave you with nothing for future projects. Even repros would fetch a high price too! Not to mention the unending gratitude of the Schumacher community

I agree 100% If I had a orig. cover I would have no prob donating it. If you coud PM mrlexan and see what he can work out with you that would be great. I am just trying to organize/spur some interest in gettin these made.

I sent my gear cover set to Antony in Melbourne. He has the molds but hasnt the time to reproduce them for us. He also did the Topcat shells amongst many others and he was bitten a few times by people that didnt quite appreciate the effort he showed us. Now Ant shy's away from helping anyone with lexan repro's. Kind of a shame realy.

A real shame indeed! I bought a couple of shells off him and they are great and he was a peach to deal with! I know what it is like to be taken advantage of. It just takes a few to ruin a good thing for everyone.

Thanks to Jason and Ant i've got the moulds now so I can make some. The motor plate mould needs a tidy up in one of the corners but here's a pic of a test one I made anyway.

I think i'll also make another mould off this and modify it to suit the original Topcat transmission, this is way better than the plastic cover.

Did you use .020 or .030?

It's 0.8mm so just over 0.03 inch
What thickness is the original?

The original is .020. I think .030 is the better choice. Makes them a little more durable and a slightly tighter fit. I just finished my molds as well. I may take a few from you if I do not find the time to make any.

The mould is sorted, I'll have some made next week. Seems a pretty good fit with thicker polycarbonate, no chance of it falling off.
