Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
I've owned this since I was 17 - in my early 30's now. It keeps coming back into my life and I just can't get rid of it. While it's mostly a pain in the ass it is a reminder of some great times I had as a kid. Sort of like a bad case of herpes you got from that epic spring break trip. http://i1381.p...

Re: RC12L3 Resto: '87 Buick GNX Build
Battery hold-downs for these old associated cars make a dummy out of me. I want to make something that holds the cells firmly in place, is easily removable, looks either trick or OEM, and costs less than $20. I have yet to come up with an idea I would call good.

Re: Found my old P35 body, cleaned it up, nothing special.
Good you held onto it, it's still one of the better bodies out there, perfect for running a fast brushless (8.5 turns or lower on 2S). I haven't even gotten around to modern electronics yet. Aside from the 5000mah nimh batteries everything I've got is from the mid-late 90's at best. I'm still prett...

Re: Rc10L cleanup
Great work! how did you get the very thin black lines around the doors, and rear clip on the Rothmans car? Pactra used to make this great stuff called line and trim tape or something along those lines. Google image, this stuff; Works great, it's okay with curves, adheres well, but it's just hard to...

This one makes it look a little better than it actually is. The light polish helped, but it's still quite scratched.

Found my old P35 body, cleaned it up, nothing special.
Just waiting to head out of the office so I figured I would post it up. I remembered coming across this in a tub of ski-gear a couple years ago and bein' all WTF. I just about tossed it, but something told me to hang onto it. I was wondering what I ever did with it, so, last place I saw it, ski-tub....

Re: Been thinking about this for a bit....Nitro 12L3
There may be some ideas you could borrow from the TRC RC10L Gas Conversion. I wish i had a better photo. - LImestang I have no idea who makes the parts I've got, but I've got some nitro 10L conversion parts that came with a big mix of 10L spare parts I just got. I'm thinking he's past this point al...

Any witchcraft to un-tweak a fiberglass 10L chassis?
One of the cars I'm working on at the moment is an early fiberglass 235mm car. I disassemble all these kits and go through everything. This one was really nice, pristine front bumper, unscratched hardware on the underside, unworn OEM tires, just a few scratches on the chassis itself. Well, the RF (o...

Re: Looking for some tire advice.
I got mine for $22 or $23 for a full set of mounted foams from RC4Less. I think there is a market for caps on ebay and they sell for $30-$40 a set.

Wow! You sure are a fan of the pan cars! I can relate to your lair! I also like your used license plates as cars stands. I think that is a first. 8) BTW, That Gulf like body is pretty sweet! Going through my old stuff I only found one stand, but I had four license plates on that bottom shelf ...

10LS out after 20 years in a box - then things went nuts
Life changes and all of a sudden I'm without a garage and/or shop for the first time in my life. I can't afford to indulge in my adult hobbies, but if I'm not tinkering with something I'm pretty unhappy I've found. So I decide to get my 10LS out of the r/c box I put it in about 20 years ago, a box I...

I've got some of those rollers laying around. You've got my attention. Interested to see the youtube video of how this turns out.
