Re: Was the STEALTH transmission around before 1990??
Found this in another thread. DavidG75 wrote "The Stealth tranny kit was available for public sale at the 1990 ROAR off-road nats. at Hobby Haven raceway. Livermore CA. I believe this was the first time the Stealth was for sale". The first RC10 that came equipped with the Stealth Transmiss...

Re: New Built YZ-10
Nice ride. The A-arms on your car look like they are machined from nylon or delrin but keep the same geometry as the stock arms. (I have a similar set but they are wider than the stock A-arms). Definately aftermarket or custom parts. Are you referring to the Team Associated advertisement 'For the Se...

Re: Old Yokomo transmission casings screws
The rear shock tower was made for the Yokomo Works '91 (will fit Works '93 also) and was an upgrade on the stock tower. This tower came as standard on the Yokomo Works '92 and offers different camber mounting points and an extra upper shock mounting hole compared to the standard Works '91 tower. The...

Re: Old Yokomo transmission casings screws
The screws that hold the Magnesium/Aluminium Front and Rear Bulkheads onto the chassis are indeed the 8-32 x 1/2" Team Associated Screws. The part number if you are looking for them are ASC3324.

Re: Can you identify these Yokomo's?
Main differences from the "stock" Yokie: - milled front and rear a-arms - Associated teflon shocks with Yokomo gold springs and white cups - carbon fibre all around - special rear carbon fibre plate to bolt the turnbuckles on the chassis - special body with a large front scoop on the left...

Re: Can you identify these Yokomo's?
The car in the bottom photo is a 1994 YZ10. Yes, the original version did come with white fibreglass towers and upperdeck. The version in the photo has upgraded towers, upperdeck, f&r arms and shock towers from what I can see but the chassis is a 1994 YZ10 version. It is still missing (apart fro...

Re: Can you identify these Yokomo's?
Hi Jay, By all means, you have my backing regarding updating my Yokomo Timeline post with photos. I tried to do it myself but could not get the photos of my cars under their respective description in the Timeline post. If you need some photos of the Yokomo models/boxes, let me know and I will send y...

Re: Can you identify these Yokomo's?
Hi Ian,
Nice cars you have there. As Seb mentioned, the car in the top picture is a Yokomo Works '93.
So you can cross-analyse the car in the bottom picture with the description in the 'Yokomo Timeline', it is called the 1994 Yokomo YZ10.

Re: Help with old Yokomo YZ-10 part numbers
Hi Ian, In this case (bumper), the ZC and ZD parts are not interchangable. The ZD parts were introduced with the arrival of the Yokomo W.C.S. (early 1993) and 1994 YZ10. These models used both ZC and ZD parts. The models earlier to these 2 (YZ870C, 1988 YZ10, Works '91 and Works '93) all used ZC par...

Re: Carbon Fibre poll! What's the best looking weave pattern?
I voted Original Twill Weave for the reason that I use it exclusively (via Fibre-Lyte) when I am getting custom parts reproduced. For me I like how it reflects off light and I like to use it to differentiate between custom built cars and original factory cars. I also don't mind the old school DA Gra...

Re: Yokomo YZ-870c Super Dogfighter
Bscotti, I can't say 100% whether a rear bulkhead and/or centre motor mount was made from the same company that made the front bulkhead but I am leaning towards a no. Saying that, the quality of machining on the bulkhead is quite high. MrLexan, I believe you are correct in saying that the manufactur...

Re: Yokomo YZ-870c Super Dogfighter
I can't vouch for the A-arms but the bulkhead is a production piece - not handmade. I have one and it is made from a coral based metal. Heavier that the magnesium stock part but a lot stonger.
