RichieRich, I might not be the brightest guy in the world, and I certainly am not a financial genius, but future value is towards the bottom of my list of worries about fake parts. You'd have to be a real moron to invest your money in to toy cars in hopes of increasing your portfolio. Just to clari...

Re: Fake parts

If fake parts are okay with you, why do you collect vintage cars? Discuss. In this instance, I believe you are referring to collecting for perceived future value. I'm not in it for the money. So, if someone wants to make "fake" rpm shocktowers, I'm fine with it. Plus I seriously do...

the only problems I have with TC is their ebay posting rule and the exchange rate which makes it quite expensive to be a full member for those of us in the US. Many there are so worried about someone else 'outing' their hidden ebay treasure, it is kinda pathetic. You can't post any active auction l...

You're going to mill some out of fiberglass? I have interest, but I don't have one to lend for a template.

What a bummer. I haven't had any problems and I've been a member since Chris started the place.

Damn! If I had only known a 2-weeks ago. I just got an Ultima RB5. My Academy SB Sport is getting a bit long in the tooth. So, it is time to upgrade my 4WD mule. I balked at the BJ4 price too. My guess is $350 at tower. It would be nice to add the B44 to my B4, B3 and other RC10s.

I remember seeing these cars run over at the Ranch Pit Stop (RPS) raceway. They were so ugly, I just had to have one. :D Problem was, they cost a mint back in those days and I didn't have a penny to my name. I remember a yellow one in the case that I think was painted by Andy and had a few cut-outs ...

I like the Ultima buggy there with the exposed cells. Gotta watch out for shorts with the aluminum chassis. Looks like they used a low profile servo and barely got in in there. Yeah, I was wondering about chassis flex too without the top deck installed. How is that working out for you? On a side not...

Yeah, it's a sig just for us. Anyone else want in? :) Here's the bearing sizes for the front and rear axles. Not sure what goes in the MIP tranny. 0.1875" x 0.3125" (3/16" x 5x16") 0.2500" x 0.3750" (1/4" x 3/8") EDIT: Oh, forgot to add, these are flanged bear...

Wow! Real nice, Ferretti. The nose plate works real well with that car. Dying the white parts will make it look better (except for the wheels, of course). I think the Protech II would be the correct period shell. I'm just about finished with mine, just need tires and a motor plate. I'll post pics wh...

Nice work. I always wanted to figure out a way to load the battery in longways like that in the Ultima. Seems there was so much extra space between the battery and the rear bulkhead in the stock configuration.

I remember wondering about this car too. The towerhobbies catalog only had small black and white photos but for some reason I found it intriguing. I've never seen such fantastic detail on this car. Parts are hard to find so NIB or new built is the only way to go. Nice find! :)

You don't need to remove that much material compared to the original bulkhead. The "ears" are much smaller. Thank goodness you don't need wing tubes.

Again, thanks for the info. I'm probably going to order a bunch if they come back to stock up. I already have 2 of each on backorder since March.
