Re: 4WD RC10 project
Excellent! Very exciting project! I saw this on your FB page, and although I'm mostly into vintage 1:8 scale Associated and Delta cars, I will definitely order this set once it becomes available...so put me on the list!
I have a ton of RC10 parts, so building a 4wd with this should be fairly easy!

Re: RC500 Rear Suspension
I have rebuilt about 5 RC500's, and I have found that most people don't pay attention to the assembly clearances of front, but especially rear upper and lower A-arms. These need to swing freely, and require a lot of careful trimming and reaming. Buy a few good chucking framers sizes .125" and ....

Re: RC500 Rear Suspension
Be aware that the black rear shocktower requires two small spacers to mount it properly. The spacers are same material/thickness as the fibreglass shocktower itself, just under an inch long (I think...) and each one has two holes.

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
Ok thanks Gunther! I saw that body in the partslist...would be nice if someone made repros.
And you're right, the Eagles are not early Delta's....

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
Hi there 1:8 scale guru's!
I've been trying to find out (and find!) what body Art Carbonell used on his early Delta cars back in the day.
Can someone tell me the name/producer if the body as shown in these two pics?
Thanks in advance!
Mick

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
None of the parts are Delta, also the marking is different. I know of a car which was using similar rear axle blocks, but not exactly the same. But I have no clue what the parts are. Maybe it´s better posting at the vintage 1/8 thread. Thanks Gunther, I suppose you mean the Delta Dash II, when you ...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
And what's this? Home-made modification (bearings) to standard 05 Associated motor, and Reedy Modified decal added or genuine early Reedy? On the bay as we speak.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Is this stamp associated with Delta? That is being claimed in an ebay auction that's running now. The same markings were present on a car that was sold by Downeys Hobbies on ebay a few months ago. That car was claimed to be a very early Delta car, I did not recognize it as such. Pictures of that car...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
That rear body mount screams Tamiya. I will research it but I think you have a TG-10 Certainly has the same body mount as my TGX, which is 1:8... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=122064&sid=154 ... although it's a little difficult as there's not much standard on your friend's ca...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Afriend of mine has this, and does not know what it is...neither do I. He has the rest of the car as well, looks like 1:10 scale. It's nitro powered...with a 2-speed.
Can somebody shed some light on this?
Thanks! Mick

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Delta 2483 are body posts that thread into the cross bar that's supported by the wingtubes on early CK760/780 pancars.
Look closely, you'll see it on the rear of this car.
