Re: Jumping on the what's old is new bandwagon
Thanks. Wish I had an anodizing contact  It's a RC10GT plate off ebay. Was going to bolt it to a gold pan but I'm looking for a matching blue chassis. There's a hobby show next weekend at the Westchester County Center in NY. Going to see what vintage stuff I can pick up. Hopefully there's a dec...

Jumping on the what's old is new bandwagon
Hey everyone, Just wanted to share my efforts of taking the old and making it new. Check out the attached pic. Quick questions. 1) RC10 hinge pins in the front with the RC10T bulkhead and dynotech arms are too short. Do I need to get RC10T hinge pins to make it work? 2) The RC10GT noseplate can bolt...

Re: Painting a beat up gold pan
thanks scr8p. Metal etch primer huh. The holes were mostly made on the side rails, which I was planning on trimming down anyway like most of the folks did on the "what's old is new thread". Yeah, I decided not to drill into the graphite for the worlds front until I can either find another ...

Re: Painting a beat up gold pan
C'mon people! Help me out!
Okay, I think I was wrong about the jb weld. Is that for composites only?
Back to painting aluminum. Anybody hear of or tried gun kote or Dura Bake? Wonder if it would work well. Seems to work for guns pretty well which I assume need to be pretty durable.

Painting a beat up gold pan
Hey everyone, I got a beat up gold pan from the bay. It's got a lot of "extra holes" in it and I want to try and fix it. Is JB weld the best option to fill holes? Even pretty big ones, I'd say the size of a nickel? Also, I'd like to paint it. I know, not something a lot of you would do but...

Re: Front setup help
Okay, I don't have those knuckles. Will those knuckles fit my original graphite stock castor blocks?

Front setup help
Hey folks, Need some help. Working on the 2.2 wheel conversion and World's front end. I've gotten the extended aluminum GT axles but they are not fitting into my RC10 steering blocks at all. I tried jamming them in there but I can't get the pin through because the axle does not go into the steering ...

Re: Converting the old to new help.
Thanks charlie.
So to drill the front for the 10T bulkhead, which countersink did you use? 4/40 82 degree? And what would I need the 8/32's for?
Any additional help/pictures/diagrams etc. would help. Thanks.
M_Vice, nice Starsky clip. Hilarious movie.

Re: Converting the old to new help.
Wow, that site is an eye sore.
Thank you though. Very helpful. I looked for the chuck load on the dremel but couldn't find it. Sorry. At work too so not excatly the most productive thing to be doing. If I find the info, I'll let ya know.

Re: Converting the old to new help.
Got ya. the bits I have are fresh. Recently moved into a new place and bought a bunch of tools. I have a few pieces of material I think would work well. Old cutting board, even a metal door hinge would suffice I think, obviously making sure the door hinge holes aren't where I'm drilling. Thanks agai...
