Re: Who here has a Sand Scorcher?
I have more than you can shake a stick at. There are several differences between the original and re-re but they are so minor that it really doesn't matter. Since the re-release the price of originals have come at down. So you could either splurge and buy a new re- re or buy a used one and use re-r...

Re: my afv
Your FAV is absolutely beautiful. I love the rust and the wear-and-tear effect you did on the paint job. It really adds to the scale realism... Tamiya just released the damper kit for the FAV if you're planning on running it. Personally, I like the dampers in the kit because it's such a throw-back t...

Re: RC10 Sandrail Tuber scratch build
Just did a google search and the link to this thread popped up. Awesome looking SRB... I always love seeing these well-executed custom jobs. I can't wait til Mike Dealer releases his chassis. What sort of paint did you use on the frame? Is it automotive paint?

VERY nice buggy! I have the same Buggy Champ with the Competition chassis... These chassis are pimp... I really love your lights too... What I found most challenging was trying to shove the main battery in. I made some 6-cell hump pack with some NiMH Sub-C batteries, but I think ultimately, this thi...

Re: Tamiya FAV re-release announced!
One question, are there any hop-up parts out there for this buggy Tamiya-made or 3rd party like the Buggy Champ? My Buggy Champ is seriously pimped out (I bought it used from an owner who never used it that spent well over $400 worth of bling to it such as competition chassis and the full Frog-tire ...

Re: Tamiya FAV re-release announced!
Just received it, Tower delivered FAST since it came out of their Nevada warehouse... :D :D :D I'm ecstatic! I got the kit that has the "bonus" parts included, I believe they are a few 5x11mm bearings (it's not enough to complete all-bearing for the buggy however). Luckily, I preemptively ...

Looking good Mike! I love your black/white paint scheme on your Buggy Champ... I'm not much of a Sand Scorcher fan so it's great to see more Buggy Champs!

Re: Tamiya FAV re-release announced!
Just ordered mine from Tower Hobbies. For those of you in the states, Tower is offering free shipping on over $99 order and $20 off on $149 and above. The free shipping promotion is stackable (you don't even need to add it into the cart it's automatic). Brought the price down to $149.99 including sh...

Re: RC10 Driver Polycarb figurine?
I just found an image, I believe it was this: http://i.ebayimg.com/10/!BRqyohQBmk~$%28KGrHgoH-C4EjlLlyhrPBJ+Tkgq3vw~~_12.JPG Even though the RC10CE kit came with the Viper body, it came with this driver in the kit... I bought a brand new in package Viper body from AE for my RC10CE resto project, but...

RC10 Driver Polycarb figurine?
I've never seen a resto project of a RC10CE with the driver figurine. I remember way back when I got the RC10CE Graphite kit, there was a polycarbonate (like the body) driver figurine. I remember this because I didn't think much of it at the time, so I gave it away to a friend of mine who wanted it....

Re: Buggy Champ Roller Setup?
Curious, where does the "real" antenna go? I'm referring to the one from the receiver. I don't see any safe place to put it...
Melvinsarmy, did you wrap your receiver's antenna around the other servo/esc wires?
