TRX1-Everybody is doing it!

I am just a cowboy lonesome on the trail ... (Thin Lizzy). A Texas song for a Texas Car ( I know, I know it's from overseas  ). I always listen to music when I am creating. What do you guys listen to when building? Anyways, I felt this was an appropriate song for this car, its not finished, b...

Re: What am I working on?

I always thought the TRX1 motor plate looked crappy too. I was hoping it wasn't an alloy issue. I have had parts in the past that wouldn't take color well, and ended up looking like the stock traxxas plate. I was stoked to see almost everything came out perfect. The Yok adapters are for the Optima B...

Re: My Kyosho Ultima Build

Not very fond of stainless screws myself. They don't rust, but are soft compared to most of the grade 8 black screws found in good kits. I have stripped or broken far too many SS screws to ever warrant using them again. I have also had issues with them galling with SS nuts, or aluminum. = VERY BAD. ...

Re: My Kyosho Ultima Build

It is in process, Just took stuff to the anodiser yesterday :). I have been looking at the front of my car for solutions as well, and these are the best options as I see it. If you want an associated style rim up front, Pro line makes a wide front rim with the proper offset for the front (for a B2/B...

Re: My Kyosho Ultima Build

This is an upgrade for the rear cvd's. They are stub axles, that replace the std. rear stub axle portion of the cvd's. They will allow you to use the std american style wheels. Part # UMW502. comes with 2 axles, cross pins, and wheel washers. They must be used with the new style Kyosho cvd bone port...

Re: My Kyosho Ultima Build

What size wheels are you using on the rc10? Kyosho makes an axle upgrade for their cvd's, that will alow you to use proline/associated/losi on their current cars. They are a stub axle change (3/16 in.) with crosspin. I just purchased them for some of my kyosho projects. -Jeff

That is not a javelin body. Or at least not like the ones I just sold on e-bay. They look similar, but do not have the hood scoops. I can post pics if people want. -Jeff

Re: Hyperdrive Belt Tension?

Belts should always be run moderatelly tight. Often times people run their belts too loose because they don't understand how belts are designed. If a belt is run too loose, it will climb on the pulley under acceleration. This will wear the belt prematurely (or the pulley), because the "pitch&qu...
