Got the bearings today, I got them for a decent price.

I dreamed of having bearings in this car when I was 8 lol.

Hope they look good, maybe better then just dish wheels? I really wanted rulux wheels, but that just wont workout.

The only way to use rulux wheels is probable to adapt RC10B4 rear hubs & CVD’s and to use front axel.

How hard would that be you think?

Do you think the duratrax ones will look good? Better then plain jane dish wheels?

Here I finished the diff, I used associated black grease on the gear diff, hope that was ok, then I put it together with no lube on other gears. I only have a single screw holding the gear box together until I get my screw kit. Everything else will have to wait till I get my orders.

Looking good ace, i like the red seals.

I don’t know but I don’t think it would be to hard. I am building a factory stuck Turbo Ultima and my plan is to built a second one with the RC10 set up so I can use the wheels.
All my cars are RC10 and I want to be able to run the Ultima and interchange wheels. Eventually I will start a thread of that project.

What size wheels are you using on the rc10? Kyosho makes an axle upgrade for their cvd's, that will alow you to use proline/associated/losi on their current cars. They are a stub axle change (3/16 in.) with crosspin. I just purchased them for some of my kyosho projects. -Jeff

This is an upgrade for the rear cvd's. They are stub axles, that replace the std. rear stub axle portion of the cvd's. They will allow you to use the std american style wheels. Part # UMW502. comes with 2 axles, cross pins, and wheel washers. They must be used with the new style Kyosho cvd bone portion however. -Jeff

It is in process, Just took stuff to the anodiser yesterday :).

I have been looking at the front of my car for solutions as well, and these are the best options as I see it. If you want an associated style rim up front, Pro line makes a wide front rim with the proper offset for the front (for a B2/B3). I purchesed several sets of these and they look like they will fork fine. "The plan" is to turn a pair of sleeves (out of aluminum or steel) that will slide over the ultima stock axle and use a larger 3/16 or 1/4 bearing. Shouldn't take too long, and should work well.
You could just use a newer rim, like the Duratrax Evader, or a Tamiya front rim (not as wide) you just need to spec the proper bearing.
If you would like to use the B4 front rim, this is a little more compicated. I think (but am not sure) i can modify a pair of CRP Ultima truck front axles (because they are wider) by turning them down to a proper diameter to accept a 3/16 bearing (they are 5mm now). The wider axle should be able to take care of the B4 wheels lack of offset. Hope this answers your question? -Jeff

I think you can use B4 complete front carriers with the steering and axel, like we do on the older RC10 buggy to modernize it. I know they fit the arms.
I have to experiment with this on my project but it will take some time, I am collecting more parts and waiting on some material for a chassis.

ace, I got those rims on my wish list but not sure about the size and what tires to use. I think they will look cool but I am a dish rim guy.

Looking forward to seen you project completed.

Well let me know what you guys come up with, I can always change mine later, and since I already have the RB cvds, I would just need the proline conversion kit to make them work.

I didn't think about the size of the duratrax wheels, hopefully they are 2.2 so I can run modern wheels, I may just get a set of the RB5 wheels anyways or the zx5 wheels, I think I would like the wider front tire.
