Well, I know the guy who originally made that shock tower(s) for brian. Been out of it a while, and doubt he still has anything left, but you never know...

Why did you discuss about that only after I finally found something looking like what I need.
I tried many and many things to make such material, especially in the car coating production (mercedes make something similar...)

About Jay Dub, if you could contact the guy (JD Beckwith ???) and will ask him, that's would be fine, but JD had nothing left from his RC period...

Charlie, the rear shock tower looks like 2mm or maximum 2.5mm.

Thanks to evrybody

Hi Cedric,

You've done a great job with this build right down to every last detail.

I'm going to see Kinwald next week and I'll make him aware of this thread. He should be able to help with the materials of the shock towers and maybe reveal some other not so obvious tweaks that he made to the car.

Keep up the great work.

Well, I got time to adjust some details and did better quality pictures.
The Sparked graphite tower looks near to the Brian's design, may I have to adjust few details.
I also polished the steel flat head screws, but I'm not sure about the material of the Brian's ones.
But now, i have to cut down the wing tubes to allow the wing to fit a lower position.

I also machin another transmission carbon brace.
Now I have to design and machin the right black nylon "light" body mount ...

The rear end looks to be on the right way with the rescue of they shocks

are you cutting these towers by cnc, or you cutting them by hand? cutting them by hand would add to the detail of the car. my 2 cents

Cedric, this is one of the best builds I have seen, EVER, and I have seen some great builds! It is fantastic, how much detail and pride you put into your work!

It would be great if Kinwald could see this build!

Thanks mates.

I do my best to focus on details, that's the most interresing part of a great replica.
(That's why I ask Mr Lexan for RCPS Mirage SS shell WITH airscoop !!!!! )

Yes I hope to Brian could join use on 10Talk, and provide use some nice informations and story's.
I'm in touch with Craig Drescher and will ask him to join use.

For sure I will cut the towers by hands, they are my best tools from a while

Hope to could cut it before the end of the week.

This is awsome stuff Kenooze! Love the attention detail & the 3D models - what program are you using?? Can't wait to see the end result..... but then somehow the build-up is just as exciting :D

P.S; i've got a Trinity 'Kinwald' front shock tower for my Losi XX thats in that metalflake 'graphite' material - very cool (& abit weird)
