Yeah, they fit tight, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Just open up the holes a little bit and it should be perfect.

Re: The dog thread
Here's Lucky. He's a 3 year old medium sized standard poodle. We have him a year now; he was an SPCA rescue. Lucky's a wonderful dog...fantastic with the kids. No, this photo is not posed...he sits like this often

Wonderful collection!!
I think all Optimas had the short shock towers (well, at least my two did). The Javelin was the first to have the taller ones standard, just like the Turbo Optima, Salute and Optima Pro.

I'm pretty sure it's an actual Optima with an attempt at anodizing or painting some of the Al parts red.

The Beagle was another clone, that chassis-wise, was an even more blatant ripoff. Here are some Beagle pics I saved from eBay a few years ago:

When they're that stuck, I've found a punch works the best; no damage to the pin. If you don't care about damage, use a locking serrated jaw type pliers such as vise-grip on the pin and just twist & pull...it will come out.
Congrats on your RC10 work

Re: Why do you guys do this?
How is this video stupid? It, in general, disproves a very common misconception that older, larger cars from Detroit's golden years are safer. It also shows just how far safety technology has come: the 1959 driver would likely die and the 2009 driver may actually walk away. And I don't think the car...

Re: Removing glued on tires
Caution: acetone defintely works the best to dissolve the glue, but it can only be used with nylon or delrin (acetal) wheels. Acetone will damage polystyrene, polycarbonate and ABS. Associated wheels are nylon. Most old Kyosho wheels are nylon too. A lot of old Tamiya wheels are polystyrene or ABS. ...

The old cars crumpled a bit too...and so did the drivers. Check out this video of a 2009 Chevy vs. a 1959 Chevy.
